Every project starts with a readiness list, and a list of questions to answer, but how do you generate either list? Docket bridges that gap by leveraging the power of LLMs to take an idea and your goals and building out a readiness and project plan. This was a tool I built for myself to solve a gap I constantly found myself dealing with as I worked through other projects.

What's on your desk

The landing view answers one important question: What is actually waiting on me? All projects you are working on show up on the main page, sorted into the phase they currently are in. Directly on the cards you can see the number of outstanding items, how much progress has been made, and how much is queued. There is also an hourglass for when something is blocked due to another item.

One Board per Project

The top includes the active documents that we are working through, including question, readiness, and to-do lists. Below that is a kanban board with four columns: In progress, Up next, Backlog, Done. Done items stay checked rather than disappearing so we always maintain a record of what was decided and done. A card can carry a priority flag or a note about what it's waiting on, and the project's notes sit directly on the board at the bottom.

One Question at a Time

A document opens as a list of questions that you can answer directly in the tool. Your answers are saved in real time as you type, and then you can flip the question to one of four statuses (Open/Decided/Done/Skipped). For questions you aren't sure of the answer, you can also choose a "You decide" which puts the answer in the hands of the LLM.

The File is the Source of Truth

You can always access the raw text file which is always the source of truth, and houses all of the decisions that were made within Docket.
